How sustainable are Tieto Banktech's card production practices?

As part of the Tieto Group, Tieto Banktech has extremely high ambitions for 2030 to do our part to protect the environment and develop sustainable practices. Ninety percent of our payment cards are made from eco-certified sustainable materials sourced from virtually every option on the market. These include rPVC, rPETG, PLA, ocean plastic, and wood. Compared to standard PVC, we have reduced our issuing customers' CO2 footprint by 46%, equivalent to 400 tons of CO2 emissions, or more than 600,000 return flights between Helsinki and Munich.
