As communicated in connection of Tieto’s Capital Markets Day in November of 2025, Tieto Tech Consulting business is resetting its operating model to strengthen accountability, simplify structure, and further enhance customer focus. The overarching principle is the shift to be a local player with global operations, and as part of this, the subsidiaries of Infopulse, Avega, EVRY India and Mentormate have been integrated with Tieto Tech Consulting accordingly during the past quarters with final activities underway.
In parallel, Tieto Tech Consulting has been actively driving AI-focused competence shift aiming to reposition the business towards sectors with greater growth potential and higher value.
Consequently, considering also the prevailing challenging market conditions, Tieto Tech Consulting is planning to reduce maximum of 500 employees across geographies. Approximately one third of this is related to concluding earlier indicated SG&A reductions as part of the cost optimization programme, one third to adjusting delivery capacity to demand and one third to capacity reduction stemming from delivery model reset relating to one customer. These activities will be carried out with focus on second and third quarter of the year, in accordance with local legislation and practices.
