Tieto recognized among Europe’s Climate Leaders 2026

Tieto ranked among Europe’s leading companies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from core operations.

Tieto has been ranked among Europe’s Climate Leaders 2026 by the Financial Times and Statista, reflecting our continued progress in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and advancing our long-term climate commitments.

The annual Europe’s Climate Leaders ranking, compiled by the Financial Times in partnership with Statista, recognizes European companies that have achieved measurable progress in cutting greenhouse gas emissions from their core operations.

The ranking considers both absolute emissions reductions and emissions intensity, alongside additional criteria such as Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) targets and CDP scores.

This year, Tieto ranked tenth overall, second in its sector, and second among Finland-based companies.

The recognition reflects our long-term commitment to climate action. Our A score in CDP and approved SBTi targets support our ambition to reach net-zero across the value chain by 2040.

Companies were invited to participate in the ranking by submitting emissions and revenue data through a registration process. Statista also reviewed publicly available data for around 3 000 European companies, drawing from financial and non-financial reports as well as CDP data.

To ensure comparability, only emissions reported under the Greenhouse Gas Protocol categories (Scopes 1, 2 and 3) were included, with location-based figures used for Scope 2 where both reporting methods were available.
