Technical Details

Over the course of the partnership, Tieto Tech Consulting supported FNT across several technical domains, gradually expanding the scope of involvement as trust and product knowledge increased.

Quality Assurance & test automation

The engagement began with the introduction of a structured QA setup. Dedicated QA engineers were embedded into FNT’s product team, later complemented by automation engineers. Over time, it helped establish more systematic testing practices and reduced reliance on developer-only validation.

Frontend modernization

Tieto Tech Consulting supported the transition of legacy frontend components from Flash to modern web technologies (HTML-based stack), contributing engineering capacity during a critical modernization phase.

WebGIS / Mapping module development

In 2019, a dedicated cross-functional team was established to develop a new GIS-based module integrated into FNT’s core platform. The team delivered a proof of concept for integration with a third-party mapping provider and later implemented the full functional scope of the module. The team initially operated as a largely autonomous unit and later evolved into a hybrid structure within FNT’s organization, focusing on enhancements and maintenance.

Software engineering support

Selected backend and frontend engineers were integrated into multiple FNT product teams, contributing to feature development, maintenance, and technical improvements across the core platform and related modules.

DevOps and infrastructure support
Tieto Tech Consulting engineers supported infrastructure and deployment activities, strengthening operational stability and enabling smoother release processes. DevOps specialists worked alongside FNT’s internal teams in a shared responsibility model.
