About Vattenfall

Challenge
The main requirement from the customer was for their employees to find data and related information across several systems when working on specific tasks and to be able to reuse the data in different applications. At the same time, it was also important to make sure that the safety regulations were met, and that information is available to the correct target groups.
Solution
Information from multiple systems is integrated, processed, and harmonized using the Findwise i3 platform utilizing Elasticsearch for indexing. Several different types of data are combined and made available in a modern single page web search application fitted for various user needs. Information can be queried when performing specific tasks where related information is needed.
Impact
The safety requirements in the energy sector are extremely strict. The customer has well-defined and highly regulated processes that ensure smooth, safe, and efficient daily operations. Safety culture and safety work are important aspects of staff training and are continuously worked on. Experiences are logged and processed in an orderly fashion. Maintenance work is thoroughly planned, and a mutual understanding of the task at hand is important.
The customer wanted a search solution that would support employees in their daily work. They also wanted the ability to connect data across different offices and use available resources within the company more effectively. By using Findwise i3, we have created a solution that meets the customer’s needs and requirements.
