Digital delivery notification adds value for Sveaskog´s timber transports

The challenge

To be able to inform customers in advance of timber deliveries from the forest to industry is becoming increasingly important. In addition to automated timber measuring, delivery reporting enables the streamlining of the industrial process through improved planning of cars and the provision of more detailed information regarding the raw material. 

The solution

Sveaskog is one of the first companies to roll out digital delivery notification of its timber deliveries across the country. In the new tool, it is easy for the transporter to enter the products, volume and location of the load and its estimated time of arrival  at the destination. The solution is integrated with the industry wood measurement system enabling efficient automated measurement.

About the customer

Sveaskog is Sweden's largest forest owner and sells sawlogs, pulpwood and biofuel. Sveaskog also works with land transactions and develops the forest as a venue for hunting, fishing and other nature-based experiences.
