Tieto appoints Leena Viljo to head Public Finland and drive digitalization of the industry

Tieto has appointed Leena Viljo as Vice President, Public Finland as of 1 January, 2015. Her role is to guarantee a full transformation potential for Tieto’s public sector customers through IT. Leena will be moving to Tieto from IBM, where she is currently acting as Global Client Executive.
Leena Viljo (45) is a senior executive with broad experience both from large multinational IT companies, like Oracle and IBM, as well as smaller challenger companies, like Forte Netservices and Cordys. Through her past roles in these companies, Leena has comprehensive knowledge of the public sector, which makes her an ideal person to act as an industry transformation agent. Leena holds an MBA from Henley Business School and a Master of Laws from the University of Helsinki.

To further strengthen the Public Affairs expertise within the sector, Leila Lehtinen has been appointed as Executive Advisor, Government Affairs as of 1 January, 2015. Leila will be responsible for interaction with key public sector decision-makers. The new role will be Nordic, with the primary focus on Finland.
