Tieto conducted an energy market research among 80 energy retail and distribution company decision makers in the Nordics. According to the survey changing customer demands and internal efficiencies guide energy companies’ strategy, while uncertainty about business survival in the changing market prevails. The survey also shows that Nordic utilities share the same challenges including lack of clarity on the impact of the new data hub model and its adaptation and companies’ role in the future utility market.
Tieto has signed an agreement to provide Nynäshamn municipality with a digitalized document and case management system. Tieto has full responsibility for all aspects of the solution, and the deal is for four years with an option to extend.

Following a Europe-wide multi-level public tender for the implementation of smart meters, Wiener Netze, one of the biggest energy distribution companies in Europe, accepted the bid submitted by a consortium consisting of Siemens, Landis+Gyr and Iskraemeco. Wiener Netze is going to implement the rollout of 1.6 million smart meters in Vienna and its surroundings jointly with Siemens as the prime contractor supported by the consortium and technology partners, Tieto as one key contributor.
Tieto has signed a comprehensive agreement with Region Skåne to deliver complete IT services that support the region's continued digitalization journey. The goal is to help the region’s efforts to create safer and more equal healthcare services. The agreement is for four years with the possibility to extend until 2031. The contract is worth SEK 410 million.
