Digital healthcare services from home - Virtual Hospital 2.0

Digitalisation will develop new forms of service for citizens and enhance healthcare. The Virtual Hospital Project created a service platform together with patients, providing information, counseling and guidance to citizens and healthcare and welfare professionals.

Digital services will provide equal coverage for all Finns throughout the entire care cycle. Sirpa Arvonen, project leader of the Virtual Hospital 2.0 project, tells in the video how citizens receive digital health services easily from home.


In the virtual hospital 2.0 co-operation project 2016-2018, five university hospitals will develop specialized healthcare services by utilizing digital solutions. The participants of the project are HUS Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa, Pirkanmaa Hospital District, Northern Ostrobothnia Hospital District, Northern Savo Hospital District and Hospital District of Southwest Finland. The project is co-ordinated by HUS.
