Tieto signs new global agreement with ÅF

Tieto and ÅF have signed a new global agreement regarding IT- services. The contract runs for three years with an option of two additional years and has an order value of approximately 10 million euros. A former agreement has been expanded to include increased cooperation and delivery of global IT services and overall processes and governance.

ÅF intends to grow 15 % every year and expand from 5 000 to 10 000 employees within the next three years. Tieto facilitates the company's expansion by providing standardized, scalable, services and a new cost model, price-per-employee, which makes it easy to predict and control IT-costs when acquiring new companies.

- The price-per-employee concept is a very lucid and dynamic model, which enables ÅF to smoothly integrate new companies and employees to the organization's IT environment. All though the new global IT-platform is based on standardized services to provide a uniform structure, it is scalable and allows for country specific amendments, applications and services, says Erkki Svensson, Vice President Sales, Tieto Sweden.

The IT-services provided in the contract range from server and storage services, networks, printing and all kind of workplace related IT-services to service desk, on-site services and consulting services.
