TietoEnator and Navicore Oy will collaborate to supply a field force management solution to Finnish energy services provider Altro Group that will enhance maintenance and repair of its distribution network. The system will be installed in the mobile phones used by Atro's field engineers sent to repair network faults. Maintenance and repair work orders will be routed to their mobile phones from the company's Care Center task management system.

 

This field force management solution marks a further step in TietoEnator's and Atro's collaboration to develop network management system. Navicore Pro will be used to transfer information on network planning, faults and network management from Atro's data systems to the mobile phones of the repair engineers in the field.

 

"After evaluating various alternatives for enhancing the efficiency of our maintenance and repair operations we decided that the functionality and availability of the Navicore solution made it the most suitable tool for routing data to the field in our environment. Response times in fault repair work are substantially shorter, which is directly reflected for example in lower standard rebates arising from interruptions to the power supply," said Matti Ryhänen, Network Manager, Atro Group.
