TietoEnator and Sampo Bank expand co-operation to electronic invoice services

TietoEnator Corporation Press Release 17 March 2004 1.00 Pm

TietoEnator and Sampo Bank will enter into co-operation in electronic invoicing. As a result of this co-operation, Sampo's and TietoEnator's customers can send and receive electronic invoicing mutually, which significantly improves the possibilities of both parties' customers to reach their business partners.

Sampo's electronic invoicing service users send their net invoices through the Finvoice gateway. TietoEnator, for its part, can now reach the corporate customers who already use electronic banking services.

- This co-operation is a major step for the utilisation of the Finvoice electronic invoicing standard defined by the Finnish Bankers' Association. It will also bring significant growth to the number of electronic invoices delivered from supplier to customer. Finvoice is a suitable invoicing channel for companies of all sizes, says Arto Mattila, Vice President, Sampo Bank.

- When combined, Sampo's expertise in banking and TietoEnator's IT competence create a solid basis for long-term development of electronic invoicing and increasing the related customer benefits, says Tapani Turunen, Director, TietoEnator.

Within the electronic invoicing co-operation, Sampo and TietoEnator will also further develop new services and solutions for companies and their customers that facilitate the transfer to using electronic invoicing services.
