Economa acquires Axapta consultant UpperCase

Economa is to acquire UpperCase in order to reinforce its activities concerning the business system Axapta from Microsoft Business Solutions. Economa, which is part of TietoEnator, is one of Scandinavia’s leading suppliers of business systems and decision support systems. The acquisition will involve all 7 employees being taken on by Economa.

UpperCase have some of the most experienced Axapta consultants in Sweden. They have participated in many major Axapta projects in Sweden, and have also been involved in training other Axapta distributors. This will enable Economa to strengthen its position as one of Scandinavia’s leading suppliers of business systems and decision support solutions.

This means that we now combine the sharpest Axapta competence in Sweden with our long-term experience within the business systems sector. This is important, as we are seeing an increasing demand for Axapta, which requires a stronger delivery organisation,” says Percy Carlsbrand, Vice President of Economa Sweden.

Economa makes customised business system solutions to order based on a standard system. This increases the customer’s competitiveness more than would be the case with standard installations. Axapta has been developed in a way that makes it easy to adapt whatever the customer’s situation. The acquisition of UpperCase will now provide Economa with even greater potential for winning deals where the customer has definite requirements for a customised solution.
