Tieto, together with Nokia and Nordea, will host Mobey Forum's 10th anniversary member meeting in Helsinki on 17 - 18 June. At the meeting, 120 international Mobey Forum delegates from leading organizations within the mobile financial services market will discuss the future of mobile payments.

Tieto's Director, Offering Development Ville Sointu was one of the key contributors to the Mobey Forum "Mobile Remote Payments White Paper" which will be released during the Helsinki meeting. The white paper clarifies industry guidelines and best practices for mobile remote payment services and suggests that the mobile phone number rather than any other specific code or identifier, should be used to identify payer and payee in mobile remote payment transactions. The Mobey Forum believes that using the mobile phone number will provide user convenience, ensure privacy and security of payments information and facilitate interoperability across stakeholders.
