Tieto opens a new data centre in Germany

Due to the increasing demand for IT operating services, Tieto will open a new data centre in Frankfurt. The centre will support the growing customer demand for cloud based services in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Customers will get the access to new innovative virtual data centre services from July 2011. Tieto's data centre concept is aimed at achieving scalability, low costs, and energy efficiency.
Companies increasingly focus on their core business and partner with IT service companies to provide IT based business systems in an efficient on-demand way. Tieto's offering will create best IT-as-a-Service experience for customers including Infrastructure, Platform, Software and Digital Processes as a Service. Furthermore, the company will deliver solutions for Application Service Management, End user Services, Application operations as well as Capacity Services. From July on Tieto's new data center is offering these Cloud based services in the German speaking markets to large and medium-sized local companies and as extended services to Tieto's Nordic customers.

Tieto has invested in new, energy efficient data centres in Finland, Sweden and Russia. Tieto's data centre in Finland has won the internationally renowned Green Enterprise IT (GEIT) Award. The recognition from the US Uptime Institute came in the Beyond the Data Centre series in May 2011.
