Coop Norden Sverige AB will start using TietoEnator's TransPortalen service. TransPortalen supports the entire transport flow and provides Coop with complete control over the transport process - from booking the transport to the final delivery to shops or terminals.

 

Coop purchases transportation for a range of goods through its own agreements (Exworks). By deploying TransPortalen, the company can now have a more straightforward and economical transport cost structure while automating its internal inspection and being able to follow-up of the transportation.

In the first stage, TransPortalen will be used as support for transport operations from Swedish distributors to terminals and directly to stores. Through rules that Coop itself establishes for the service, the use of the correct distributor and transport method is ensured when the despatching party books the transport. Bookings are done through a web interface and the transport documents (waybills and labels) are printed out locally at the despatching party's facilities. Continuous status updates make the process transparent. Automatic cost control provides Coop with access to the correct invoicing documents while making administration significantly more efficient.
