TietoEnator will supply an Effica customer service and patient management system for the Malmi Healthcare Area in Finland. Malmi Healthcare Area is a new organisation that will be created through the merger of Pietarsaari Area Healthcare Federation of Municipalities and Pietarsaari hospital on January 1, 2005. The goal of the merger is to strengthen and develop regional customer-centred operations and digital service processes, as well as to improve service quality and increase efficiency.

 

Pietarsaari Area Health Centre has used Effica previously, but now it is being implemented more widely across the new organisation, including special healthcare. The first delivery phase will include, e.g. entire patient management, electronic patient records, referral management, clinical chemistry and microbiology systems, laboratory quality control and a blood group register for a total of over 200 workstations.
